For me, travel blogging has always been THE fantasy lifestyle. You get to make your own hours, travel around the globe, and experience incredible things in exotic locations.

It almost doesn’t seem real or attainable. Yet, there are so many people out there showcasing this ideal life.

I wanted to interview a travel blogger for season one, but I was very cautious about my choice because there are so many “influencers” and “bloggers” that are out there hustling and a part of that hustle makes it difficult for them to be honest about what it’s really like.

That’s when I thought of Michelle Rene, or @livelikeitsthewknd as I’ve known her for years now online. Michelle is a travel blogger, officially, that’s how she makes her money and how she spends her days. She left her 9-5 job at age 29, and since then she has been building her online business. I thought of her first because of how transparent and open she is in her blog and instagram. From the reality of being a travel blogger / Instagrammer to her own personal human experiences; she shows up honestly and consistently online - something I aspire to.

In this episode we discuss her story of entrepreneurship, the nitty gritty details of how one makes money in this industry, the challenges, and the mindset of what it means to Live Like It’s The Weekend.
